Let's level up.

We'll show you how.

Do you want to be a pen tester, but don’t know where to start? Do you have an interest in pen testing, but need some help getting the fundamentals down? Are you curious about the tools pen testers use to break into things? If so, we're here to help!

The Labs are a series of five stations, each one with a set of activities and tutorials focused on a pen testing fundamental. You’ll learn:
    - enumeration using Nmap,
    - web application assessment using Burp Suite,
    - exploitation with Metasploit,
    - password cracking with Hashcat, and
    - vulnerability assessments with Tenable Nessus.

Each station is designed to take 30-45 minutes to complete. You’ll have a web page to guide you through the activities, including walkthroughs for each. You can come and go as you wish, completing the station exercises in any order at your own pace. Lab Assistants will be available to help if you get stuck.

If this sounds interesting, come join us at our next event for a fun and low-pressure way to get your feet wet in pen testing!

Participation

You will need to bring your own laptop to participate. All you need is a laptop with a Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) client to connect to one of our Kali Linux virtual machines (VMs.)

If you already have your own pen testing setup, feel free to bring it in and get started right away; we don’t require you to use the VM.

We recommend you use a wired network connection, but wireless connections are available as well.
